Before your first connection

Start with a working internet connection. Open a normal HTTPS website before turning on the VPN. If it does not load, resolve the Wi-Fi or mobile-data problem first: a VPN needs an existing connection and cannot supply mobile data. On a hotel or café network, complete the network's sign-in page before starting the VPN.

Install Android Security VPN from the Google Play listing. Check the name, developer Viaceslav Kriukov and package identifier com.androidsecurity.vpn. Avoid unofficial APK download links sent in unsolicited messages. Google Play lists advertising and in-app purchases; check the current listing and any purchase screen before accepting a charge.

Connect and check the result

  1. Open the installed app and allow its server list to load. Choose a server offered by the app. Availability can change; the website does not publish a live server inventory.
  2. Start the connection using the app's connection control. If Android asks to allow a VPN connection, read the dialog and approve only if it names the app you intended to use.
  3. Check the connection state in the app and Android's VPN notification or VPN settings. A map marker or a selected country alone is not proof of an active tunnel.
  4. Open the same HTTPS website used for the baseline check. Confirm that it loads while Android shows the VPN as connected. This checks basic connectivity, not every possible traffic leak.
  5. Disconnect when finished and confirm the status changes. The Google Play description also describes pause and disconnect controls in the persistent notification; labels can vary by release.

Find Android's VPN settings

Search for “VPN” in your device's Settings. Menu names vary between manufacturers. Inspect the active VPN entry if the app reports connected but internet access fails. Do not change a work-managed VPN or remove a work profile without your administrator's instructions. Features such as always-on VPN depend on the device and app; this guide does not claim that every Android Security VPN release supports them.

  5. После использования отключитесь и проверьте смену статуса. Описание Google Play также указывает управление паузой и отключением из постоянного уведомления; названия зависят от версии.

Настройки Android

Найдите «VPN» поиском в настройках устройства: меню производителей различаются. Если интернет не работает при активном VPN, проверьте его запись. Не меняйте рабочий VPN и не удаляйте рабочий профиль без указания администратора. Постоянный VPN зависит от устройства и приложения; поддержка этой функции каждой версией Android Security VPN здесь не утверждается.
